Describe your project task.
The initial project was to create visual elements for Rohki Events’ Buusti Business Meet event and to enhance participant interactivity through a live chat feature. Ultimately, the task evolved into compiling speaker materials into a PowerPoint presentation and creating video presentations for the monitors in the lobby of the Snellman Music Center.
How did you carry out your project task?
The implementation of the project is described in an earlier report. The on-site implementation consisted of video presentations that were displayed on monitors in the lobby. In the presentation hall, the project involved a laptop, a monitor, and a projector to display the speakers’ materials on the hall’s screen. Additionally, a USB remote control was included in the setup, allowing the speaker to change their presentation on the screen themselves.
What did you learn from your project task?
During the project, I learned about several applications that can be used to create a live Q&A platform for participants. I also gained a lot of experience using the Eventos event management tool, which was ultimately used to implement the live chat for the seminar. Additionally, I was able to utilize my graphic design skills for designing the application’s appearance and using Canva for creating video presentations for the lobby monitors.
The feedback from the supervisors was positive regarding the quick action and progress of the project.
The best part of the project was being able to combine my technical skills with visual implementation in event production.
