Participant Arafat created a maintenance and repair record system where a company can record products that come in for maintenance, e.g. a bicycle. The service list can be printed out so that the repairer knows what needs to be done to the bike. Due to current data protection policies, information about individuals must not be displayed in a visible place where it can be seen by outsiders. For this purpose, contact details can be omitted from the printout list.

The following information can be added to the system

  • Reservation number (this system could enter automatically)

  • Product to be repaired

  • Product model and model number / frame number

  • Purchase date

  • Receipt number

  • Warranty valid

  • Description of the fault / need for service

  • Leasing bike (yes / no)

  • Customer contact details (these must be able to be removed from the printed form)

    • Name

    • Phone

    • Email

  • Service reception date

When the product has been repaired / serviced, the repair shop can subsequently add the following things to the voucher.

  • Service / repair execution date

  • Performed procedures

  • Service / repair amount

    • Spare parts (incl. VAT x %)

    • Work

    • Total amount (incl. VAT x %)

This form can finally be printed for the customer themselves and then it remains in the system, from where it will be removed e.g. after 1 year.
