The AIMlearning project supports the transition to studies, study progress and job search for young people under the age of 29.
Our goal is for young people to develop their competence and find employment in a job that matches their competence. The project can be used to support, for example, the employment of graduates or recently unemployed people or the transition to further studies.
All young people under the age of 29 living in Central Ostrobothnia can participate in the project, regardless of previous experience or educational background. Unemployed jobseekers can also participate if their unemployment has lasted continuously for a maximum of one year.
The working life of the future requires new kinds of skills.
In the AIMlearning project, young people develop their competence in a multidisciplinary manner in AI, information security, well-being and responsibility-related competence packages, which are based on work-based practice and project work. These are exactly the skills that will be needed in the future of working life, regardless of the sector.
An unemployed job seeker must agree in advance with employment services to participate in the project. The AIMlearning period for a young person can last 1-6 months, during which the young person develops their skills, participates in workshops that support job search and becomes familiar with the rules of working life, and networks with companies in the area. Young people learn to identify their own competence and potential jobs also beyond their field, which improves their chances of finding employment.
The remote work trial -model expands the opportunities for young people to become employed.
Long distances and the place of residence can make it particularly difficult for young people in sparsely populated areas to participate in the traditional work experiment. In the project, we are developing a remote work trial -model that can be used to improve the availability of employment services by developing tools for companies to remotely guide the trainee.
The AIMlearning project will take place between 01.02.2024-31.01.2027 and is co-funded by the European Union (Central Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment). The project is carried out in cooperation between Centria University of Applied Sciences and Kpedu.
