My Journey in the AIMlearning project

I am a versatile and eager-to-learn visual artist whose passion lies in storytelling and evoking emotions through animation. In addition to being a visual artist, I am also a metalsmith specializing in jewelry. Currently, I am actively seeking work in my hometown of Kannus.

While applying for multiple jobs and waiting for responses, I had a discussion with an employment officer about the progress of my job search. During this conversation, the AIMlearning project was mentioned for the first time. I immediately became interested in the project and its activities. I was looking for an opportunity to develop my visual skills and learn new things, so I was very motivated to join the project.

I started in the project in November 2025. Since I live in Kannus, I have mainly worked on the project remotely and have visited Kokkola when necessary. In my work, the well-being theme of the AIMlearning project stood out the most, which particularly interested me. I believe it is important to maintain discussions about well-being and to promote it. During the project, I created, for example, an informative animation about stress, which included planning, animation, recording, as well as audio and video editing. I also designed a poster related to the work environment, which involved illustration and graphic design.

During the six months of participation, my visual skills have improved, and I have learned new things, such as using new software. My working life skills have also developed, including my initiative, as well as my organizational and problem-solving abilities. I now better understand my own strengths and have been able to utilize them in projects. As a result, I feel more confident in my work. I plan to showcase these skills in my updated portfolio. In the future, I would like to work or study in the field of visual arts, especially in animation.

I feel that the project has been a great experience overall. It has not only developed my skills but also improved my well-being. The projects have encouraged me to stay active and have brought structure to my daily life. The tasks could be completed at one’s own pace and according to one’s capacity. I have also had the opportunity to discuss job searching and studies and have received support in these areas. For these reasons, I can warmly recommend the AIMlearning project to anyone who wants to develop and learn new skills within their own resources and schedule.
